Any Ha began his creative journey with film photography, captivated by its unique ability to replicate colors with character and depth. This quality left him fascinated with exploring real life through the lens of film. Painting, however, was a medium he had always admired from afar but hesitated to explore. That changed when someone gifted him a few hours in a studio equipped with paints and supplies—a birthday present that became a pivotal moment. From that session came his first painting, now proudly displayed by an art collector in a modern modular home in Muskoka.
Inspired by emotions and personal experiences, Ha’s approach to painting is neither entirely deliberate nor random but exists in a space between the two. Each stroke is guided by feeling, creating a unique balance of intention and instinct. His work carries a deeply personal connection, with every piece holding a fragment of his soul. This connection makes parting with his paintings both a challenge and a gift.
Through his art, Ha seeks to create resonance, inviting viewers to reflect on their own emotions and experiences. His hope is that the work not only evokes a sense of understanding but also encourages others to explore their inner selves.
Painting, for Ha, is more than a creative practice—it is a process of self-discovery and emotional flow. It is a way to access and express something deeply internal, something words cannot capture. With each piece, he aims to share this connection, offering a bridge between his inner world and the experiences of those who engage with his art.
